Lately, when I hear people complain about not liking something or when someone is criticizing something (or someone) it just sounds like sour grapes/envy. I sincerely hope that I don’t sound like that when I don’t like something (or someone).

I wish I had video of it – Annika and Will let me put their small human, Sam, on our treadmill yesterday, and it was the greatest thing I’ve ever seen! Sam didn’t quite get the concept of walking in place at first, but he figured out right away that he could ride off the edge of the conveyor belt and that if he put something on the conveyor belt it would roll back to him… there was lots of jumping and laughing. Perfect Tommy was super nervous about it and preferred to give Sam rides in the Radio Flyer wagon. WUSS!
I don’t know how Will and Annika do it – I believe that Sam in the most insanely active 2 year old I have ever met. We slept in until 10:30 this morning… except for getting up at 6:30 when the monsoon hit. The sky was falling. There was incredible wind, thunder, and lightening. We took some pictures and Tom stood outside in his swimsuit and took a shower.
Days of the week are so great. They are Nature’s In and Out Boxes. Perfectly made to get things done.
I am so bad at keeping in touch with people, I have just decided that I am going to have Thursday be my “Correspondence Day.” I will send emails, make phone calls, make appointments, etc. only on Thursdays.
Also, Friday will become “Outline Day.” I will outline ideas that I have for stories, blog posts, etc. on Fridays.
Every day is like Sunday, every day is “Workout Day.” (Sing along, you know the tune!)
I think that’s enough scheduling. I don’t want to be over scheduled. Too much pressure, you know.
Plus, I’ve got a part time recruiting gig that starts next week and I think my days are going to start filling up with that.
