This is going to be pretty random – it’s a brain dump.
Jennifer’s Body – Wish it didn’t star Megan Fox or Amanda Seyfried, because I don’t care for either of them. I’d rather watch Rumer Willis and Paris Hilton.
Leverage – Love it. It took a while to grow on me, but I love the characters and how they play together. The casting is just so much fun, and I’m a Hardison/Parker fan.
The Closer – Some people think it’s too formulaic, but whatever. It is my TV comfort food. It it the cable equivalent of oatmeal or chocolate pudding.
Burn Notice – This show should always be on. I miss it. This is my TV equivalent of popcorn. When is it back? January?
Dexter – Catching up on Netflix. I really want to live in Dexter’s apartment. A lot. A lot a lot.
True Blood – So much promise, but bad pacing really made Season 2 not so good. I’d still rather watch this than most TV, though.
Fringe – Based on a strong finish in the first season, I’m giving this one a chance again this year. If it gets slow at all, I will quit it like I quit Lost.
House – It’s been too, too long. The 21st can’t come soon enough.
V – Could never get into the original, but based on the cast, I am very excited for this remake.
Glee – Missed the Fall premiere… but will try and catch up.
Naruto Shippuden – I am just in love with this show, and I have been since I started it. It just keeps getting better and it is so emotionally raw that I can hardly stand it sometimes. But the fights are awesome, too. I try not to watch more than one series at a time, but I’m thinking about starting Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, it’s queued on Hulu and I just have to press play, but the original series was so heartbreaking and awesome that I don’t know if I can take it…
Jeffrey Dean Morgan - ROWR. This man has charisma and I want to see him in more things. Hollywood, you’re on notice!
I agree with pretty much everything you’ve said if I’ve actually seen the show in question. And everybody knows that I’m about half-past obsessed with Glee. That might not be a ringing endorsement, but I want to make sweet, sweet love to that show.
I agree with pretty much everything except about Amanda Seyfried.
I actually feel bad about Amanda Seyfried, but she reminds me of my sister-in-law and I can’t stand watching her for that reason. It’s got nothing to do with talent – considering I’ve never been able to watch more than a few minutes of her in anything, I have no idea!
You guys, it’s kept me for seeing MAMMA MIA! ME! MAMMA MIA!
That is unfortunate.
Yeah, I pretty much agree with everything TV (like Amy, I have to disagree with Amanda – although having never met your sister-in-law, it’s possible I’d have a problem with her if I did.) I love Leverage, Glee & Burn Notice. I’m going to try Fringe again, mostly because of the finale, and I’m anxiously awaiting House (although I’m going to be mega-pissed if 5 episodes into the new season, House’s stint in a sanitarium is forgotten like Stacey, that awful administrator from season 1, and the police guy from a couple seasons ago.)
I have less agreeing than the other commenters — many of these I either don’t like or have no interest in seeing — BUT:
- New ‘Dexter’ starts in like 10 days and I CANNOT WAIT
- I think I’m falling in love with ‘Glee’
- I have downloaded ‘True Blood’ S1 but haven’t watched any yet
Burn Notice S2 is hitting the UK on 16 October (I’m guessing you’re referring to S3, or have we caught up now?). House starts this weekend (yay!), as does Fringe S2 (also yay as I enjoyed S1 muchly). Dexter S4 probably won’t hit our shores till spring, wail. Same goes for True Blood S3 (double wail as I LOVED S2 and am utterly addicted – even more so to the books – but they’re only just showing the S1 finale on UK FX this week!), so I shall have to keep an eye out for the US S3 airdate. Sigh.
Even with the interesting cast, the thought of V without Michael Ironside’s Ham Tyler BREAKS MY HEART. I might give it a go, but I’ll feel cheap and dirty all the time.
Right there with yer on JDM. But you knew that, right?
Here’s hoping for some great fall/autumnal viewing. *rubs hands*
