She’s about halfway dilated and having some painful contractions now. Being faraway sucks.
I can’t work under these conditions! It’s exhausting!

So it’s like 6 hours after Leira was born and I’m still wound up! She is so tiny and pretty and Rachel and Jordan are the most natural parents. This is really great. I love my whole family! Kids, aunties, uncles; everyone is being so cool. And my friends at work have been so excited for us all. I’m really moved. And Leira looks magnificent in her hat and blanket knitted by her one and only auntie Katherine.
Sounds like it’s finished happening, then.

Just so everyone knows, Leira was indeed born to Empire Strikes Back. My labor went so fast we didn’t make it through the entire movie. So fast, my actual doctor didn’t deliver the baby. I believe they had to bring in the ER doctor. INTENSE.
