Well, you should read my brother’s comments because he is a genius.
But Roger Ebert wrote a review of Watchmen that leads me to believe that you don’t need to know much about the comic to enjoy the movie.
It’s worth reading as an end in itself, though.
If Roger Ebert can understand the movie without having read the book, then most anyone can. (That assumes, of course, that he actually DID understand it. Which is a big assumption.)
