I wish I had video of it – Annika and Will let me put their small human, Sam, on our treadmill yesterday, and it was the greatest thing I’ve ever seen! Sam didn’t quite get the concept of walking in place at first, but he figured out right away that he could ride off the edge of the conveyor belt and that if he put something on the conveyor belt it would roll back to him… there was lots of jumping and laughing. Perfect Tommy was super nervous about it and preferred to give Sam rides in the Radio Flyer wagon. WUSS!
I don’t know how Will and Annika do it – I believe that Sam in the most insanely active 2 year old I have ever met. We slept in until 10:30 this morning… except for getting up at 6:30 when the monsoon hit. The sky was falling. There was incredible wind, thunder, and lightening. We took some pictures and Tom stood outside in his swimsuit and took a shower.

I would LOVE to see video of that. Glad to know Sam is as charming in person as he seems online.

I’m kind of sorry we didn’t stay for the rain storm, but I’m also glad we didn’t have to drive home in it.

man that sounds BADASS- the storm, I mean. I was there for the treadmill. He slept the whole way home, though I had to spell the wheel to Annika for the last hour, I was dead on my feet. We spent all day yesterday resting. Unfortunately, not all night as Sam decided 3am was a good time to get up with his dad and do stuff, rather than sleep.
