This contract gig is turning into more like a full-time job. Annoying! Also, these hiring managers are not doing any hiring – they are so damn picky, they won’t even make decisions about temps. Of course, now the company is so close to launch date, that any contract help would basically be a waste of time. Too slow on the hiring decisions – if they don’t hire some people soon, I’m going to start looking really ineffective.
Maybe I am ineffective. Hmmm.
In other news, my grad school application has completely stalled. I’m very disappointed in myself and as a result I spent $260 on two pairs of shows that are coming via UPS on Friday. I hate UPS – they suck donkey balls. I would rather have things come regular mail. At least the mailman can get into my building and leave things here.
Well, so my train of thought on this is that you were hired to help them find people, which you are doing. Were you hired to cast a magic spell and make the hiring managers decisive? I hope not. Plus, I hope they’re paying you by the hour. Mmmm, tasty consultant rates.
Either way, I would totally hire you.
