Now that I’ve shown you

Now that I’ve shown you all that I’m not a robot…

(That or I’m a genius robot.)

I would like to talk about the fact that I am reading nothing but young adult novels right now. I just finished reading Holes by Louis Sachar. They’ve made a movie based on it. I really liked the book. In fact, I cried twice, laughed a lot and am making Tom read it. Next: Tuck Everlasting. Mock me all you want, but remember I also knit, which is a much more pointy and dangerous hobby.

Tom and I are also looking forward to seeing A Mighty Wind, as the films of Christopher Guest seem to be the only movies that Tom doesn’t end up hating. Except that, and this is just between you and me, apparently Tom really liked Four Weddings and a Funeral when he first saw it ages ago, before he knew that Hugh Grant was a whoremonger. [insert Liz Hurley joke]

I, for one, am happy that the Summer Movie Season keeps getting moved up into the year. At this rate, I will see the first summer blockbusters of the season in February of 2007. I am stoked for all of the sequels (X-Men, Matrix, whatever) because I am a franchise whore. I blame it on an early relationship with Star Trek.
